By day, I am immersed in the world of minerals while working for Canada’s largest rock and gem company. This professional background gives me a unique vantage point on the stones I work with, ensuring that every piece I create is rooted in authentic geological knowledge and a deep respect for the earth’s raw materials.

When I’m not at my workbench, you’ll likely find me in the wild. I am an avid rock hounder, often spending my off-time exploring rugged landscapes to find beauty in its most natural form. My love for travel further fuels the Mercantile; I frequently wander across borders, hand-selecting unique beads and rare imports to bring home to my studio. These global finds allow me to infuse my macrame designs with a sense of adventure and worldy connection.
